Johnsonville OTR Member Named a National Driver All-Star

Congratulations goes out to Johnsonville OTR member Dave Greene, who was one of 24 private-fleet drivers named a 2023 National Driver All-Star, by the National Private Truck Council.

This prestigious award recognizes drivers who exhibited an exceptional commitment to safety, compliance and customer service between June 2022 and May 2023.

Greene was recognized at the Driver All-Star Recognition ceremony held during the NPTC's safety conference in Championsgate, Florida.

Greene’s excellent safety record and his community service were especially highlighted as part of his recognition. In fall 2022, he drove 2,000 miles throughout Florida to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Greene is based in Dallas and drives cross-country to deliver Johnsonville products to retailers’ stores and distribution centers.

After driving to Orlando, Florida on a delivery route, Greene used a week of his vacation time last October to transport 160,000 pounds of supplies such as water, sanitary items, Johnsonville sausages and more, to Florida communities hit hardest. When he asked his coach if Johnsonville would donate the use of his 18-wheeler, fuel and product to bring more help to the area, he got the green light.

Greene worked with United Cajun Navy, a disaster relief organization, to stock the Johnsonville truck with supplies to deliver along Florida’s southwest coast on multiple trips.
