PRO TIPS FOR SAUSAGE STRIPS
Getting To Know Your New Favorite Meat Strip
I got my first pack of Sausage Strips. What do I do now?
It’s important to put your first Sausage Strip under glass and frame it, as if it was the first dollar made by your small business. After you do that, you can prepare Sausage Strips in a variety of different ways.
I like my bacon crispy. How do I create that same crisp with Sausage Strips?
For crispy edges with a tender bite, heat strips over medium-high heat for a short time. Heating them low and slow causes them to become tough. Give a little bit of a heat and ensure you’re not letting them burn. When they’re done, let them sit for a bit. We know that’s easier said than done. But relax. Enjoy the aromas. The Strips will continue to crisp as they cool.
I like air-frying things. Can I cook Sausage Strips in an air fryer?
Great question. Yes. First, set air fryer to 400°F. Twist the strips once or twice and place in a single layer on fryer screen. Heat for 5-10 minutes. As is the case in most flavor adventures, some experimentation is necessary.
I like deep frying things. Can I deep fry Sausage Strips?
I can see you’re preparing for the State Fair. Good thinking. But be careful with Sausage Strips and deep frying. When heated in a deep fat fryer, Sausage Strips splatter quite a bit. So if you’re concerned about the integrity of your clothes and/or skin, we would not recommend this cooking method.
I like crumbling bacon. Can I crumble Sausage Strips?
When a recipe calls for cooked crumbled bacon: cut strips into pieces and fry in a skillet. As mentioned before, let them be for a few minutes after they’re done cooking. They will continue to crisp as they cool.
I like wrapping things in bacon. Can I wrap things with Sausage Strips?
You better believe you can. Here’s a tip. Before you wrap your favorite vegetable, burger or ocean prawn, cut the Sausage Strips in half, length-wise. This thinner strip will allow you to cover smaller, more asymmetrical food (like shrimp) better.
Shockingly, we didn’t consume all the Sausage Strips we cooked. How should I reheat them?
Firstly, we’re actually impressed with your self-control. Secondly, you have uncovered a secret. Sausage Strips taste great reheated. Here’s the best way. Place the Sausage Strip on a microwave-safe plate and cover with a paper towel. Microwave for 15 seconds, or until hot. That’s it. That’s the tip.
