Summer Sausage S’mores
This recipe is a great appetizer to serve while waiting for those great Johnsonville Brats to finish grilling. Both appetizer and main course share the grill and the glory!
JOHNSONVILLE Original Summer Sausage, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices
Cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese, match slice diameter to sausage
Round snack crackers, match diameter to sausage
Course-ground mustard, to taste
Place sausage slices on a hot grill. Grill until sausages start to curl into a cup shape; about three minutes.
Flip sausage and place cheese on cupped side.
Cover grill and allow cheese to melt.
Meanwhile, spread cracker with mustard.
Remove sausage cups from grill and sandwich them between crackers just before serving.
