Spaghetti & Sausage Nests
This recipe featuring Johnsonville New Orleans Spicy Smoked Sausage Links gives traditional spaghetti a unique twist that kids will love!

(14 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE New Orleans Spicy Smoked Sausage Links, cut into 3/4-inch coin-slice pieces

pound
spaghetti, broken in half

cup
grated Parmesan cheese

cup
shredded mozzarella cheese

1-3/4
cup
marinara sauce, divided

tablespoon
chopped fresh basil, to garnish

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Rinse with cool water and drain.

In a bowl, combine the egg, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup marinara sauce and spaghetti.

Grease a nonstick muffin pan. Use tongs to fill muffin cups with spaghetti mixture. Make an indentation in center of each cup; creating a nest.

Bake for 13-15 minutes or until set.

In a deep skillet, heat sausage pieces over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Carefully add remaining marinara sauce; simmer until heated through.

Carefully remove baked spaghetti nests from muffin pan and place on a serving platter. Top each nest with 2-3 sausage pieces. Spoon marinara sauce over top of sausage.

Sprinkle with basil and Parmesan cheese.
