5 stars!

Cheap & fast
by Amber 8 months agoHave made this twice already and its delicious along with cheap n fast. First time I didn't use hot sauce and the second time I did. Made no difference. Also cut the kielbasa slices into quarters for texture.
I WILL MAKE THIS AGAIN
by NV 3 years agowithout the hot pepper sauce and I used white sharp cheddar and white Monterey cheese and it was delicious!!
Pretty Disappointed
by Christina J. 2 years agoI followed this recipe to the tee. My child and I didn't care for it. The consistency was odd to me and I think it may have been better with a mild cheddar.
Wasn't good
by Vanessa 3 years agoI thought the montery jack was over powered the dish. Might have been better if it was swapped for a different cheese. The husband didnt care for it either.
Sounds good!
by Jen 3 years agoWe're going to make this tonight, but using boxed mac & cheese instead (we didn't have any shredded cheese on hand). Going to cook the sausage in a skillet, then make the mac & cheese in a pot.
We loved it!
by Bridget Watkins 3 years agoIt was a very tasty side. I did omit the hot sauce. Will definitely make again.
Just ok
by Kathleen D. 5 years agoI followed the recipe exactly. It was pretty good but the 2 tsp of hot pepper sauce was actually too spicy for me, and even with 3 cups total of cheese it didn't taste very cheesy to me. It also seemed to need salt. My husband put some bbq sauce in his and loved it.
Better than expected
by B. Harrison 6 years agoI made this recipe twice since I found it on their website a couple of months ago. The macaroni is the best that I've ever made and my husband loves it. However, I tweaked the recipe as follows:
I cut the sausage into quarters instead of large 1" slices before cooking. It just tasted better to us this way.
After cooking the sausage, I continued with the recipe in a large pot because there was more room (less likely for the water to boil and spill out of the skillet). I added the sausage into the pot at the end.
Lastly, I did not use 5 cups of cheese. Instead, I used TWO (8 oz.) packages of shredded sharp cheddar. It worked out great.
5 cups of cheese - you've got to be kidding !!
by sue 6 years agoI followed the recipe - step for step, until I came to adding the cheese. I stopped at 2 cups and it was cheesy enough. Can't quite imagine what it would've been like had I added all the cheese it called for !! Otherwise, it was quite good.....
Way too thick
by Joyce 6 years agoThis recipe was so thick! I wonder if there could be a mistake in the ingredient amounts. A disappointment.
Mac & Cheese-very cheesy
by Deanna Miller 6 years agoI enjoyed the recipe but for me who loves cheese there was actually too much cheese. I think I would cut the 3 cups cheddar back to 2 cups and the jack cheese back to 1 cup. Also I would maybe add another teaspoon of the hot sauce to give it a little more zing. Overall it was good but very heavy on the belly.
Good taste, too thick
by Kathleen Beatty 6 years agoThe cheese sauce became way too thick. Ended up having to add a cup of 2% milk at the end to loosen it up. Perhaps try not using the corn starch? I was also confused by the directions for the evaporated milk. It calls for a 12 oz can, but one step calls for 1 cup of the milk, then a subsequent step calls for another cup of the milk. Perhaps that caused the thickness problem. Also ended up adding some extra hot sauce, but that is just our taste. Anyway, we really enjoyed this meal once we got the thickness right.

Kathleen I had to reread about the canned milk also. It wants you to cook with the 1st cup then add the rest of the can with the hot sauce and cornstarch. I just submitted my review but see we are on the same wavelength about the thickness.

Did you drain the pasta? The directions don't say to drain it, I wonder if its suppose to stay in the dish?
