Johnsonville Sausage Balls
This Johnsonville® creation is an easy appetizer to make and has all the right flavors...hot Italian sausage, Cheddar cheese, onions and mushrooms that come together to create beautiful spheres of savory goodness.
Ingredients

(16 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE® All Natural Fresh Italian Hot Ground Sausage or 1 package (19 ounces)

shredded Cheddar cheese

baking mix (Bisquick® or Jiffy®)

finely chopped onion

cup
finely chopped mushroom

cup
milk
Directions
In a skillet, cook and crumble sausage over medium heat until sausage is browned and the internal temperature is 160°F; about 10 minutes. Drain if desired.
In a large bowl, combine the sausage, cheese, baking mix, onion, mushrooms and milk; mix well.
Shape mixture into 36 walnut-size balls; place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F until lightly browned; 15 - 20 minutes.
Remove from oven; let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with barbeque or chutney sauce.
