Great Recipe - & So Easy to Customize!
by Whitney S 10 months agoFound this recipe on the package when my boyfriend accidently bought Italian sausage. Great find! Easy to switch up veggies depending on what's in your fridge. A few things to note: it makes a lot! I use about 2/3 of a box of pasta. Also, zucchini and onions take a lot longer to cook than what they say. I cook them for about 5 minutes before I add the tomatoes and garlic. I serve it with grated parmesan at the end. Best recipe I've ever stumbled upon!
nice change for a pasta dinner
by Pam 2 years agoSausage adds flavor. I didn't think this recipe had enough vegies so I added asparagus, cooking with other veggies. I added more tomatoes but would have added a few more. When they are cooked they shrivel, not like pic. Def add some sea salt at serving and I also added parm cheese, just a shake or two.

Mom's signature dish
by Amyboorie 3 years agoMy mom always fixed this dish. My husband is a picky eater but he always asked my mom to make it. After she passed away he kept asking me to make it. I didn't realize that the recipe was on the back of the sausages. Now it's one of the most requested dinners.
BowTie Johnsonville Sausage dish
by Karen Rosenick 4 years agoI add color to my dish like red peppers and red or yellow cherry tomatoes and bow tie pasta and fully cooked Johnsonville sausage chopped up in to cubes and purple onions. We love it!
So easy a delicious
by Michele 5 years agoI just used the small sweet peppers as the veggie. You have to brown the sausage well to get that deep flavor. I wanted an easy go to sausage pasta dish and this is it. The kids loved it!

Delicious pasta meal
by Jeanne 5 years agoSo far, I have only made it once and everyone absolutely loved it, including me! Even my husband, who is very hard to please, ate it all and raved about it for sure. Great recipe and I am planning on making it again soon.

Fantastic
by Sandy 6 years agoI have made this several times for our family, club meetings and neighbors and was "wowed" at all events. The first time I tried this recipe, I didn't have Cherry tomatoes so I tried 2 cans of Rotel, either original or mild. It made the dish extra special and I loved it, everyone loved it. I've used Rotel tomatoes ever since. It adds flare and spiciness if you select a different Rotel. Thanks Johnsonville.

Italian Sausage and bow Ties
by Shirley 7 years agoI found this receipe under the label of the Sausage Links and when I tried to remove it the print came off and I was so disappointed. Then the idea to try and find it on the web site and I was so happy to find it! I made it but also added summer squash as the back of the label included it. What a great meal!!! We love it. A great one dish meal.
Italian Sausage with Bowtie pasta
by Carol12 8 years agoI was shopping at my favorite grocery store and noticed the display with all the new flavor sausages. Viewed the recipe from the cover of the sausage and decided to make it for dinner. My four young sons loved it. They were coming back for seconds. I served it with a light spinach salad which was another hit. Very fast, very simple, affordable, and tastes great.
Perfect dinner for a last minute mom.
by Lisa 8 years agoThis dinner was absolutly wonderful! I had no idea what I was making for dinner tonight so I picked up some sweet sausage and search for a recipe. Which lead me here! I substited the bow ties with penne and diced up some tomatoes since I didnt have the exact ingedients. Also I sliced up some black olives and sprinkled shredded cheese over it while it was still hot. I would absolutly make this again even without my additions and substitutions. A+++
THE way to get the family to the table!
by Raynchelle1295 8 years agoWe love this recipe. We've been making it for several years under the name "Sweet Italian Pasta Toss". I misplaced my copy of the recipe, and that is why I visited your website! I do make one change to the recipe: I remove the sausage from the casing and brown it in the skillet. This is a one-dish meal, because it has the meat, veggies, dairy, and pasta. It is really a winner!!
