Taco Sausage Burrito Bowl
Let everyone build their own bowl for a fun do-it-yourself dinner featuring Johnsonville® Original or Hot Taco Ground Pork Sausage for a quick 30-minute dinner.


Ingredients

package (16 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE® Original Taco Ground Pork Sausage

cup frozen corn

1
red bell pepper, sliced

1
cup uncooked white rice
-
1
cup black beans, rinsed and drained

1
lime, juiced
-
1
avocado, sliced

1/2
cup salsa verde
-
Optional toppings: refried beans, shredded pepper Jack cheese, shredded lettuce, red pepper flakes, fresh lime wedges and cilantro

In a skillet, cook and crumble sausage over medium heat until sausage is browned and the internal temperature is 160°F; about 10 minutes. Drain if desired. Set aside.

Wipe skillet clean, in the same skillet cook and stir corn and red pepper until heated through; about 4-5 minutes.

Prepare rice according to package directions; fluff with fork. Gently stir in black beans and lime juice.

To assemble, spoon rice mixture into individual bowls and top with the sausage, corn, peppers, rice mixture and sliced avocado.

Serve with salsa verde and desired toppings.
