South of the Border Bundles
Craving a quick snack? Try this quick and easy recipe filled with Original or Hot Johnsonville® Taco Ground Pork Sausage, shredded Mexican blend cheese and spicy salsa.
package (16 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE® Original Taco Ground Pork Sausage (about 1-1/4 cups uncooked sausage)
package (10 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
Red pepper flakes, to garnish
Preheat oven to 425°F.
In a skillet, cook and crumble sausage over medium heat until sausage is browned and the internal temperature is 160°F; about 10 minutes. Drain if desired. Set aside.
Unroll dough on work surface and cut into twelve squares.
In a small bowl, combine the sausage, salsa and cheese.
Divide sausage mixture among the dough squares.
Bring four corners of dough together; pinching to seal.
Place smooth side up in greased muffin cups.
Brush egg over dough; sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
Bake until golden brown; 12-15 minutes.
