Spicy Sausage Breakfast Grilled Cheese
All the convenience of a grilled cheese sandwich in a protein-packed, hearty and spicy breakfast sandwich, featuring Johnsonville Spicy Sausage Strips™.
package (12 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE Spicy Sausage Strips™
cups shredded gouda cheese
sliced or mashed avocados
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sriracha sauce, to taste
Cook sausage strips according to package directions, set aside.
Cook eggs to over-medium doneness, set aside.
In a large skillet, over medium-low heat melt butter (1 tablespoon per sandwich).
Lay 6 slices of bread on a cutting board.
Top each bread slice with two sausage strips, 2 tablespoons cheese, avocado slices, a fried egg, Sriracha sauce and 2 more tablespoons cheese; add top bread slice.
Cook sandwiches in preheated skillet until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
