Spicy Sausage Breakfast Grilled Cheese
All the convenience of a grilled cheese sandwich in a protein-packed, hearty and spicy breakfast sandwich, featuring Johnsonville® Spicy Sausage Strips.
package (12 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE® Spicy Sausage Strips
cups shredded gouda cheese
sliced or mashed avocados
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sriracha sauce, to taste
Cook sausage strips according to package directions, set aside.
Cook eggs to over-medium doneness, set aside.
In a large skillet, over medium-low heat melt butter (1 tablespoon per sandwich).
Lay 6 slices of bread on a cutting board.
Top each bread slice with two sausage strips, 2 tablespoons cheese, avocado slices, a fried egg, Sriracha sauce and 2 more tablespoons cheese; add top bread slice.
Cook sandwiches in preheated skillet until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
