Porky Philly Cheese
Johnsonville® Salt and Pepper Ground Pork Sausage, fresh bell peppers, onions and soft cheese combine to create a twist on a traditional Philly Cheese Steak sandwich.

package (16 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE® Salt & Pepper Ground Pork Sausage

green bell pepper, sliced

yellow bell pepper, sliced

red bell pepper, sliced

cloves garlic, minced

tablespoons olive oil

cup beef broth

tomatoes, sliced

1/3
cup mayonnaise

Garlic salt

cup shredded provolone cheese

hoagie rolls (7-8-inches)

In a skillet, cook and crumble sausage over medium heat until sausage is browned and the internal temperature is 160°F; about 10 minutes. Drain if desired. Remove and keep warm.

In the same skillet, cook and stir the peppers, onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat until tender; about 3-5 minutes. Add beef broth; cook until reduced.

Spread cut sides of buns with mayonnaise; sprinkle with garlic salt.

Broil until golden brown; about 1 minute.

Layer tomato, pepper mixture, sausage and cheese onto bun bottoms.

Broil until cheese is melted; about 2 minutes. Top with bun tops.
