Baked Avocado with Sausage & Eggs
For a great power protein-packed breakfast, try this recipe that easy to make when filling an avocado with Johnsonville® Sausage, seasonings and egg.
Ingredients

egg, beaten

avocado, halved and pitted

tablespoon chopped red bell pepper

tablespoons shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

teaspoon red pepper flakes

Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions
Cook sausage according to package directions; cool slightly and set aside.
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Combine egg and sausage; spoon sausage mixture into avocado.
Sprinkle with cheese and red pepper; season with salt and pepper to taste.
Arrange avocado halves in baking dish; resting them along edge to stabilize or place in a muffin tin.
Bake until eggs are set; about 20-22 minutes.
