CSP Business Media Recogznizes Johnsonville Hand-Held Entree with Best New Product Honor

CSP Retailer Choice Award for Best New Product Presented to Johnsonville for Its Sausage & Gravy Stuffed Biscuit

The New Johnsonville Sausage & Gravy Stuffed Biscuit — the buttermilk biscuit stuffed with Johnsonville sausage and southern style gravy — was proclaimed as Best New Product in the foodservice category for handheld entrees by CSP Business Media, the Phoenix-based publishing company covering the convenience store, petroleum and foodservice industries.

This awarded mark of distinction from CSP is a welcome confirmation for c-store operators which feature this new product in their stores. The biscuit’s dual appeal at breakfast and snack times offers an easy-to-eat and tasty comfort food favorite for those busy times of the day, when consumers are determined to eat on-the-go.

“Johnsonville is dedicated to helping operators distinguish and build their foodservice programs with irresistible grab-and-go offerings,” says Sarah Babb, Johnsonville’s senior brand manager. “By supporting the retailers in this exciting time where there’s a focus on foodservice, we’re helping to ensure that c-stores have the products they need to excel and compete with other foodservice destinations.”

According to Babb, Sausage & Gravy Stuffed Biscuits were selected to receive the Retailer Choice Award thanks to exceptional dedication of Johnsonville’s innovation team to equip customers with the products necessary for success. The Sausage & Gravy Stuffed Biscuit beat out 22 other products nominated in the handheld entree category, with more than 500 total votes collected this year, all coming from CSP’s database of convenience store retailers.

CSP is a news source for the c-store industry, and is trusted as the nation’s single largest provider of news in the convenience store segment. This is the 11th annual year of CSP’s Retailer Choice Best New Product Contest.
