Zesty Italian Sausage Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 package (19 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE Mild Italian Sausage or Hot Italian Sausage
  • 1 package (8 ounces) linguine
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced Italian tomatoes
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) chicken broth
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Cooking Instructions

  1. Prepare sausage according to package directions. Cut into ¼-inch bias-slice pieces; set aside and keep warm.
  2. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
  3. In a large skillet, cook and stir onion and garlic in oil over medium heat until tender; 3-5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the tomatoes, chicken broth, broccoli and cooked pasta. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until broccoli in tender; 5-8 minutes.
  5. Add sausage; toss to combine. Cook and stir until sausage is heated through; about 5 minutes.

Multi-Cooker Directions

  1. Remove casing from sausage.
  2. In the Multi-Cooker, cook and crumble sausage on sauté setting, add the onions and garlic, cooking until sausage is browned and internal temperature is 160°; about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes, chicken broth and broccoli.
  4. Secure lid on pot and close pressure-release valve.
  5. Select manual high pressure setting for 2 minutes, use quick pressure release to depressurize.
  6. Add pasta, toss to combine.
