Summer Sausage S’mores

This recipe is a great appetizer to serve while waiting for those great Johnsonville Brats to finish grilling. Both appetizer and main course share the grill and the glory!

Summer Sausage S’mores
What you need
- 1pkg.Johnsonville® Original Summer Sausage, sliced 1/4 inch think
- cheddar cheese (to match), sliced to the diameter of the sausage
- round snack crackers (to match)
- course-ground mustard
Preparation
- 1Place sausage slices on a hot grill. Grill until the sausages start to curl into a cup shape, about three minutes.
- 2Flip the sausage and place the cheese inside the cupped side.
- 3Cover the grill and allow the cheese to melt.
- 4Meanwhile, spread the cracker with mustard, to taste.
- 5Remove the sausage cups from the grill and sandwich them between the crackers just before serving.
