Onion and Garlic Sausage Bath

Onions and garlic go great with almost everything. Try this bath on Johnsonville Italian Sausages or Brats and give thanks to great combinations.

Onion and Garlic Sausage Bath
What you need
- 132 oz.carton of beef broth
- 2largeonions, sliced
- 4clovesgarlic, thinly sliced
- 1bunchfresh thyme sprigs
- 2bay leaves
- 2pkgs.(19 oz. each) Johnsonville® Italian Sausage Links or Brats
- Large12-in. x 9-in.heavy-duty disposable foil pan
Preparation
- 1Preheat grill to medium-low.
- 2In a large heavy-duty disposable foil pan, combine the broth, onions, garlic, thyme and bay leaves.
- 3Place pan on the grill. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- 4Add the sausage or brats and cover pan with foil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into sausage reads 160°F.
- 5Remove sausage from the pan. Grill links until browned; return to pan.
- 6Cover pan and keep warm.
