Mac and Cheese with Johnsonville Three Cheese Italian Style Chicken Sausage
What you need
- 2cupscavatappi macaroni
- 1/4cupreduced-fat butter
- 1/4cupflour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2cupsskim milk
- 2cupsshredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
- 1pkg.Johnsonville Three Cheese Italian Style Chicken Sausage, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1/2cupfrozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
Preparation
- 1Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Set aside.
- 2Melt butter in a saucepan.
- 3Add flour, salt and pepper, whisk until smooth.
- 4Whisk in milk, cook until thickened.
- 5Whisk in cheese, cook and stir until melted.
- 6Add macaroni, sausage and spinach, cook until heated through.
