Italian Skinny Sandwiches

This recipe takes Johnsonville’s Three-Cheese Italian Style Cooking Sausage and combines it with green pepper slices, Provolone cheese, Parmesan cheese and chipotle mayonnaise for a sandwich that packs a power punch when it comes to knocking out hunger. These skinny sandwiches are the perfect size for making your mouth happy.

Italian Skinny Sandwiches
What you need
- 1 link (half of 13.5 ounce package) JOHNSONVILLE® Three-Cheese Italian Style Premium Cooking Sausage, cut into thin strips
- 1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons chipotle mayonnaise
- 3 multigrain sandwich thin rolls
- 3 thin slices provolone cheese
- 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
Preparation
- 1 In a skillet, sauté sausage and green pepper in oil until lightly browned.
- 2 Spread chipotle mayonnaise over cut sides of sandwich thin rolls.
- 3 Layer roll bottoms with the sausage, green peppers and provolone cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- 4 Replace roll tops.
