About this recipe
This delicious Panini recipe combines the classic Italian Caprese ingredients of fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, fresh basil and balsamic vinegar. Easy to assemble and even easier to enjoy!
- Grill sausage on the Johnsonville Sizzling Sausage Grill (or your favorite cooking method). Let cool slightly; slice in half lengthwise.
- Brush each side of cheese and tomato with balsamic reduction. Sprinkle tomatoes with garlic salt and pepper.
- Slice focaccia in half horizontally; then cut into quarters to make 4 sandwiches.
- Arrange tomatoes, cheese, basil and sausage on the bottom halves of each focaccia quarter; replace bread tops.
- Spread butter over outside of sandwiches.
- Grill on a panini press or in a skillet until cheese is melted.
