Hen House Sausage Bath

What you need

  • 132 oz.
    carton of chicken broth
  • 2large
    onions, sliced
  • 4ribs
    celery, sliced
  • 2cloves
    garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1bunch
    fresh parsley
  • 1bunch
    fresh thyme sprigs
  • 2pkgs.
    (19 oz. each) Johnsonville® Brats
  • Large12-in. x 9-in.
    heavy-duty disposable foil pan

Preparation

    Preheat grill to medium-low.

    In a large heavy-duty disposable foil pan, combine the broth, onions, celery, garlic, parsley and thyme.

    Place pan on the grill. Bring to a gentle simmer.

    Add the brats and cover pan with foil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into a brat reads 160°F.

    Remove brats from the pan. Grill links until browned; return to pan.

    Cover pan and keep warm.
