Tired of looking for teeny bits of meat in your bean dish? Well, it’s time to cowboy up with some help from Johnsonville. This recipe takes all the fabulous flavors of the frontier and creates a hearty dish that’ll stop hunger dead in its tracks. Onions, potatoes, baked beans, salsa and chicken broth combine to make a phenomenal base for Johnsonville’s Polish Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage. The sausage provides a great smoky flavor to this meal while giving you big portions of meat that won’t leave you wondering if it’s in there or not.

Great for a quick and easy one-dish meal!

by MissNik 7 months ago
I'm a big beddar with cheddar fan so I substituted that for the sausage options in the recipe. I also didn't add the potatoes. I'm sure it would be just as good but I was inclined to the feeling of my childhood favorite of "beenie-w33nies". Lots of flavor, a very easy prep and cook dish, and the kids loved it! This has been added to my recipe binder and will make again!

Instead of the salsa, I used two tablespoons of mustard in the recipe. I included everything else in the recipe and loaded it with plenty of sausages.
