This Panini is great for those that love a little bite in their sandwiches. Delicious Johnsonville Pork and Chicken Traditional Brats are used as a base for this awesome dish. To make the perfect even better, mustard, dill pickle relish, sweet onion, fresh dill and Cheddar cheese are used to create a tasty, melty, yummy meal that’s perfect for any occasion!

Cheddar Dill Panini with Johnsonville Pork & Chicken Traditional Brats

What you need

  • 1 package
  • 1 large
    sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon
    olive oil
  • 1/2 cup
    yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup
    dill pickle relish, drained
  • 1/4 cup
    red onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon
    fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 10 slices
    three-cheese semolina bread or French bread
  • 5 slices
    Cheddar cheese, cut in half

Preparation

    Prepare sausage according to package instructions and slice.

    In a skillet, sauté onion in oil.

    In a small bowl, combine mustard, relish, onion and dill.

    Arrange bread slices on work surface.

    Spread 1 tablespoon of mustard mixture on half of the bread slices.

    Add brat slices.

    Top with prepared onion, cheese and second slice of bread.

    Place on preheated panini grill. Grill for 4 to 5 minutes.
