This breakfast bake is the perfect blend of sweet apples, Apple Chicken Sausage and “French toast.” It is a perfect solution for brunches or breakfasts shared with family and friends.

Baked French Toast with Johnsonville Apple Chicken Sausage
What you need
- 4cupscubed bread
- 1apple, peeled and chopped
- 1pkg.Johnsonville Apple Chicken Sausage, sliced ¼ inch thick
- 2Tbsp.sugar
- 2tsp.cinnamon
- 1/2tsp.nutmeg
- 2tsp.vanilla
- 1cupskim milk
- 8eggs
Preparation
- 1Spread the bread, apples and sausage into an 11-inch x 7-inch baking dish.
- 2In a bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Add the milk and whisk in the eggs. Pour over the bread mixture.
- 3Cover and bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean, uncovering for the last 15 minutes. Serve with maple syrup, if desired.
