Smoky apple chicken sausage, fresh vegetables and sweet pineapple are combined with a sweet and sour sauce to create a delicious rice dish.

Johnsonville Apple Chicken Sausage Sweet and Sour Stir Fry
What you need
- 2-1/2cupsinstant brown or long grain white rice
- 8oz.can pineapple chunks
- 1 pkg.(12 oz.) frozen stir-fry vegetables
- 1Tbsp.canola oil
- 1pkg.(12 oz.) Johnsonville Apple Chicken Sausage, sliced
- 1Tbsp.cornstarch
- 1/3cupcold water
- 2Tbsp.reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1Tbsp.brown sugar
Preparation
- 1Cook rice according to package directions; set aside.
- 2Drain pineapple; reserve pineapple chunks and juice.
- 3In a large skillet, sauté vegetables in oil until crisp-tender.
- 4Add sausage and pineapple chunks; cook and stir until heated through.
- 5In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, water, soy sauce, brown sugar, and reserved pineapple juice.
- 6Stir into sausage mixture.
- 7Bring to a boil.
- 8Cook and stir for 1 minute or until sauce is thickened.
- 9Serve over rice.
