All Natural Fresh Italian Sweet Ground Sausage
great texture and taste; a bit too salty. I chopped and fried half an onion, added a chopped half apple, and then mixed that into a pound of Johnsonville sweet sausage. I made 4 round patties and fried on each side till a bit crusty. I then assembled a single thickness of nan (or pita), topped by a sausage patty, then a fried egg over easy, and finally, a bit of cheese sauce (heated milk and melted American cheese). A sort of eggs benedict. The result was excellent; the sausage had a great texture and taste, although I would have preferred the sausage to be a bit less salty. — Forrest Milder
