cooking directions :

Always thaw product prior to cooking. To ensure product is cooked thoroughly, use a cooking or meat thermometer to make sure sausage has reached an internal temperature of 165°F.

Skillet Directions

Spray a skillet with cooking spray. Add sausage. Cook over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 minutes, turning links often. Reduce heat to medium-low. Carefully add ½ cup water to skillet. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the sausage internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Gas or Charcoal Grill

Preheat grill to medium-low. (if charcoal, allow charcoal to burn until white ash has formed on the coals.) Grill sausage, covered, for 12-20 minutes or until browned and the sausage internal temparature reaches 165°F, turning links often. (Closing the grill lid while cooking helps to minimize flare-ups.)

Indoor Broil

Preheat oven to broil. Place links on a broiler pan or foil-lined baking pan on center oven rack (7-9 in. from heat source). Broil for 12-13 minutes or until sausage internal temperature reaches 165°F. Turn links every 3 minutes to help prevent splitting.

Amazing Italian Sausage!

by Goliath 10 months ago
I was able to make "Italian Bombers" in the slow cooker without pre-boiling these wonderful sausages before hand. There was NO GREASE at all! They are a bit on the spicy side which was fine with my family but could be a drawback for some consumers.

Full Flavor without the Guilt

by 1 year ago
Pleasantly surprised by how flavorful they were. I've tried plain chicken sausage before and always went back to the full pork sausage as I couldn't quite fool my brain into believing it was real sausage. Well thanks to this blend, both the brain and waist line came together in a joyous celebration. They were so good even the hubby was fooled! We're hooked and won't buy any other brand now. Great job Johnsonville :)

Grilling Healthy

by Joseph 1 year ago
I love the idea that I can still enjoy grilling sausages now that my doctor says I have to cut back on fatty foods. These make excellent sausage, peppers and onions on hoagie rolls with some mozzarella. Put a bit of tomato gravy on it and your good to go!
