The BEST Summer Suasage!!. Was treated to Johnsonville Original Summer Sausage on a recent trip to Wisconsin. It is like the summer sausage that I remember enjoying when growing up in Packer country. It so much better than any other sausage that is available in Arizona! To freeze summer sausage, wrap in wax paper or meat paper, date and freeze for up to three months. To thaw, remove from freezer and set out on counter to prevent molding.
