cooking directions :

Gas or Charcoal Grill

Cook for 7-10 minutes, turning the links frequently, if possible use tongs rather than a fork to prevent casings from puncture.

Pan Reheating

Place links in a pan, add ½ inch of water and cover. Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, turning often.

Microwave

Remove links from package, place in microwave-safe dish. Add water to cover links. Cover dish, heat on high for 1 minute 45 seconds. Turn links, heat again 1 minute 45 seconds. Let stand for 1-2 minutes prior to serving.

NOT GLUTEN FREE Johnsonville products used to tell you on their site what products are dairy and gluten free for some reason they took all that down. There is no indication on the package of Chili Cheese Smoked Sausages that there is wheat or gluten in them but I am still not 100% on all ingredients that are not safe. But I read on a blog that they are not and I could instantly tell by the way I was feeling that they were defiantly not gluten free. So if you can not have gluten stay away from these! May 1, 2012
These are pretty darn good. When I was growing up in Chicago back in the 80s, grocery stores sold a product called Frankenstuffs. Basically, it was a hollowed-out hot dog that had a processed chili (or cheese) filling. Disgusting? Yes, but they were amazing as I recall (c'mon, I was like 10). I know these aren't the same concept as this product, but I needed to find something even remotely similar for me to eat in the future. Anywho, my mother knew I loved this things and she happened to find this product at Jewel in the northwest suburbs of IL. She bought a pack for me without hesitation because I was going to be in town to visit (moved to Seattle). I've gotta say, they are pretty tasty! I ate the entire pack (not in one sitting, of course). The flavoring has a nice kick, not overpowering. Only problem.....none of my local grocers (OFC, Safeway, Albertsons) carries this flavor. :( March 29, 2012
