Excellent

by Karen 2 months ago
Grilled them on the grill, and had them on a whole wheat low calorie bun, with mustard and a nice coleslaw made with FF mayo. Outstanding. Made it feel like it was a nice summer day even though it was a cold outside. With the calorie count we can have them several times a month with no guilt. :)

Kind of boring

by Kelly Anlauf 2 months ago
We prepared this item using the recipe on the back of the packaging (rigatoni, sausage, red peppers, broccoli, Italian dressing). It was very easy to make but very bland. I had to "doctor" it up a lot with extra olive oil, Parmesan cheese, pepper, salt, garlic powder, etc. The sausage was just kind of boring, bland and didn't make the cut for our family. Not gonna make it again.

I bought them for me, but my kids love them more than me. Especially on the grill.

Best product yet!

by Healthygirl 4 months ago
This Italian sausage is amazing! I've eaten it grilled, but my favorite was dicing it up and using it for stuffed bell peppers! Simply the most flavorful product you make!

Thx for getting my picky toddler to eat chicken!

by ColoradoKim 4 months ago
I cooked these up and sliced them into a penne with peas and herbed Alfredo sauce and it was wonderful! My package opened easily where indicated and most importantly my very picky toddler ate a whole sausage! I'm thrilled she ate chicken and I also loved the taste. Thanks for an affordable and delicious dinner solution that my family will eat!

A Mistake to put this on the market. Does anyone there taste this stuff?

by Bratscorcher 6 months ago
Long time Johnsonville fan here, but these are not worth eating. Not even if free, delivered, cooked and served by a whole crew. If my employer served these in the lunchroom, there would be a mass exodus to the closest fast-food joint, no matter how bad it was. Not only is the taste poor, but the aftertaste is awful. I ate one of these on a trip, and the longer the taste remained in my mouth, the worse it became. It was miles and miles before I came to somewhere where I could buy a Coke to acid etch the horrible aftertaste out of my mouth. Thank you, Coca Cola, high fructose corn syrup and all. I tried them a little later at a neighbor's barbecue, and being done to a mild scorch on the grill, they were a little better. Well, that really means the browning partially covers up the lack of flavor. The problem of the offensive aftertaste remained, however, and even a whole bottle of Pilsner Urquell offered no relief. Once again, Thank You Coca Cola. I believe the three cheeses, red bell peppers, garlic, herbs, spices, etc are just there to make the label attractive. I could taste nothing but a bad chicken dog. As in school lunch. And, yes, I love chicken. The Costco chicken patties are out of this world. Our freezer always has several packages and our fridge always has one ready to give up a patty or two. This is the worst chicken sausage or even chicken product I can remember. I will stick to buying what Johnsonville does best. This isn't it.

Glad I had a coupon

by Barb 10 months ago
I tried these because I had a coupon. I would have been REALLY upset if I paid full price. They were tastless and salty. I normally love Johnsonville Sausage/brats but these will not be bought by me again. Also the package was not able to be open by the Peel corner. I had to cut it with a knive.

My husband hates anything that isn't full fat and full calories well I tried these Johnsonville chicken sausage 4 cheese instead of his regular plane Jane hotdogs and he loved them! In fact were having them again tonight at his request Great job on a new product bummer on the 4 pack :( and it's a little pricey for just 4 sausages.

Too salty!

by Ckey 12 months ago
I like salt and probably add more salt to my food than most people. However, myself and my family all felt that this sausage was too salty. We did not finish and will not purchase this product again.
