I agree with all the positive comments on the great taste but for me, I like the fact I can pop them in the microwave to just heat them up since they are already fully cooked - quick, convenient and delicious
Having grown up in the UK, I was accustomed to eating really excellent pork sausages supplied by various local butchers from around the country. Sausages made in Cumberland (e.g., Lake District region) are a really good example of the countries best. Having now lived in the US for the past 40+ years I have always been disappointed in the sausages that I have found in stores here.... both local products and those available at the national level..... but was I ever surprised when I recently ran into Johnsonville Beer Brats..... I believe in a blinded taste test these sausages would compare to the best pork sausages available in the UK. I think Johnsonville could easily rename them as Authentic British Bangers, Simply brilliant..... well done Johnsonville.
I'm not a beer drinker (my husband is though indeed), but these tasted so good... Unbelieveable taste, really. I was planning to use mustard but didn't even need to. They have all the flavor and taste needed. I don't know how they do it. These have replaced the original Brats as my favorite. I could eat these every day. I wish maybe these came in a lite version or 1/3 fat version too - maybe like a Lite Beer Brats version.. Ha! My husband was wondering: "what kind of beer is in these?"
These brats are the perfect flavor and texture! Very easy to grill. Everyone loved them at my last cookout. I'm at the website to see why they are not being sold in my area any longer, and hoping they have NOT been discontinued. I can't get them anymore.
