Johnsonville Sausage Teams up with Kraft and Bertolli to Launch "Italian Inspiration" Recipe Contest
Consumers invited to enter their “Italian Inspiration” dish for a chance to win a culinary vacation to Italy
Feb. 27, 2012 (Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) – Johnsonville Sausage today announced it has teamed up with Kraft and Bertolli to launch a new recipe contest, “Italian Inspiration.” Through the contest, which runs now, through April 1, 2012, consumers are invited to upload a photo and description of their recipe creation featuring Johnsonville Italian Sausage. Six weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the contest, and one grand-prize winner will receive a culinary vacation for two to Abruzzo, Italy.
“We know consumers recognize the versatility of Italian Sausage and the great variety of recipes in which it can be used,” said Bob Fitzgerald, Johnsonville brand manager. “Through this contest, we are really looking forward to seeing the different ways in which people incorporate Johnsonville Italian Sausage into both their classic dishes and original recipes.”
Fitzgerald added that Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese and Bertolli Olive Oil were natural partners for the recipe contest.
“Both grated parmesan cheese and olive oil are staples in Italian cooking,” Fitzgerald noted. “Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese and Bertolli Olive Oil share the same passion for quality we at Johnsonville do, and we couldn’t think of better partners to help inspire at-home cooks.”
All eligible entries will be judged on originality/creativity and presentation/visual appeal. Five finalists will be selected and then evaluated on balance of flavors/taste; creativity/uniqueness; and presentation/appearance. The creator of the recipe with the highest score will win the grand prize culinary vacation for two to Abruzzo, Italy, courtesy of CookingVacations.com.
Six weekly prizes will be awarded through a sweepstakes drawing and will include items from Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese, Bertolli Olive Oil, Johnsonville Italian Sausage, DeLallo and LeCreuset.
