Brats, Bikes & Boats Named Coolest Products Made in Wisconsin Contest

Johnsonville Brats Voted Among Top Three in WMC Contest

Officials from the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) watched carefully over the summer as consumers placed 230 nominations for the coolest product manufactured in this state. In late September when public voting ended, Johnsonville brats, Harley-Davidson motorcycles (Milwaukee) and military combat ships built by Fincantieri Marinette Marine emerged as the top three finalists after thousands of votes were cast.

In recognition of National Manufacturing Month and to shine a light upon the state's vast manufacturing activity, the WMC introduced the "Coolest Products Made in Wisconsin" contest earlier this summer, inviting consumers to nominate any Wisconsin-made product they felt deserved "the coolest" reference. On Oct. 18 during the annual WMC luncheon, it announced that Harley-Davidson motorcycles had received the highest number of votes and was declared the winner. The family behind the country's best-selling bratwurst and the Johnsonville members responsible for the product, were featured here in the WMC video.
