Chicken Sausage Apple
The combination of real, sweet apples along with premium cuts of chicken make this a flavorful sausage that everyone loves!

cooking directions :
Stovetop
Place sausage and ½-inch water in a pan; cover pan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes or until heated through.
Grill
Preheat grill to medium-low. Grill 10-12 minutes or until heated through, turning links often.
Microwave
Place 1 link on a plate. Cover with a paper towel. Microwave on high for 60 seconds or until heated through. Let stand 1 minute before eating.
(Directions are based on a 1100 watt microwave.)

I took a bite of this expecting to love it - Chicken Apple Sausage sounds like it would be delicious. And, it's expensive, so I was definitely expecting a treat. As you can tell from the title, I didn't love it. They're not AWFUL, per se, but they taste like kicked up hot dogs - nothing special. I wouldn't buy this again.

I have been buying your chicken sausages for a year now and I have never been disapointed with the favors nor the texture until today :( I tried your new smoked chiken sausage ( 6 in a pack) and it tastes more like a hot dog, not like a sausage. Did'nt taste any smoke flavors in it. Very dissapointed!!

Too sweet

I was looking for an alternative to chicken breasts and thought I would try the chicken sausage apple. It was too sweet for my taste and I ended up adding some spices to tone down the sweetness. Will not purchase again. May try your plain chicken sausage.

The Sodium of 860 will kill you alone not to mention the Cholesterol of 60mg

This was a great disappointment to me. I saw the advertisement and thought wow, sounds good. 50% less fat. I bought the product and I usually always read the labels, this time I did not. Got home. Cooked it up and I swelled up like a balloon. Went the doctors and I was not allergic to it, the doctor said it a wonder you don't have a heart attack, look at the amount of SODIUM in this product. This is a terrible product. So it has 50% less fat, the Sodium and Cholesterol in it will kill you alone.

An Apple Sausage a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

No, they aren't as quite as good as a regular Johnsonville brat hot off the grill, but when you combine taste, as well as fat content, they're probably a better combination. I make these all the time, quick easy, and I think they're one of the better items for a quick lunch or dinner.

I was very skeptical about these, any chicken sausage but gave them a try when I started Weight Watchers. Found myself pleasantly surprised. These were great fried up with potatoes.

Tasted like chicken hot dogs

I love chicken sausages - but I will stick with other brands from now on, because these were basically hot dogs. They did not have the sausage texture and they tasted very processed and artificial. I would not recommend.

bad color and texture

I'm very sorry but I just don't like your chicken products. I love your regular Italian sausage, hot or mild. But the chicken just don't seem right. Its colorless and bland. Sorry!!

I was apprehensive at first, I didn't think I would like the Apple Chicken Sausage, but I really do. My only complaint is that the casing is too thick and tough.

i am from trinidad and i always saw the sausage but never tried them. i decided to try them but when i read the label it said its cassing is collagen but i dont eat pork..so what shud i do?i searched it up n it said that its made out of pork and beef and then there is natural collagen..i want to know which 1 they used for it

The new apple chicken sausage are much healthier than the pork options, yet very flavorful. The sausages are individually compartmented in the wrapper so you can open one link at a time keeping them fresher longer.

Yummy and lightly sweet

The chicken sausage with apple was yummy - mostly sausage flavor, with a little apply sweetness. I probably would not have known that little kick of sweet came from apple if I had not seen the package. I was worried that there would be chunks of crispy and too sweet apples, but the texture was consistent. I enjoyed the sausage with eggs for breakfast. I think this would be a good replacement for a hot dog.

I have tried different brands of chicken sausage but Johnsonville Chicken Sausage is the BEST, I refuse to eat any others brands. In fact I only eat Johnsonville brand brats not any other brand. It is simply the best and rocks!

Really enjoyed these. Wish I had a coupon when I purchased but I trust Johnsonville quality so I didn't hesitate to try. Great flavor, easy to prepare. Need some recipe ideas so I could use more often. Thank you, Johnsonville, for a flavorful healthy sausage that tasted a little sweet without adding tons of sugar like everyone usually does to make things taste good. Will definately try other flavors. Always a big fan of J'ville - a Wisconsin girl misses her brats!

It is a little pricey, but it is excellent sausage. We cook it with bellpeppers and onions and serve it over rice.
