Is Your Child A Picky Eater?

Don’t be discouraged if your child is a picky eater. In fact, research shows that for most children, they must be introduced to a new food 10-15 times before they will even try it.

One tip for encouraging your child to try a new food like a vegetable is to combine it with foods they already like. For example, try making a pizza by spreading a whole wheat pita bread with pizza sauce and topping it with familiar, healthy favorites like part-skim mozzarella cheese and sliced Johnsonville Chicken Sausage. Then add one new topping such as tomatoes, mushrooms, or bell peppers.

This way your child will feel more comfortable trying a new food since it is used as a part of a familiar food.
