Do you find yourself going more than 4-5 hours between meals? If so, you may get too hungry and be more likely to overeat. So if you know it will be several hours before your next meal, make sure to keep some healthy snacks on hand. The best snacks are between 100-200 calories and contain a combination of a carbohydrate and some protein.
A few healthy snack examples include: an apple with a tablespoon of peanut butter, 4 whole grain crackers topped with a thin slice of cheese (cut into 4 separate pieces) and 4 slices of Johnsonville Chicken Sausage, or 1 small container of low-fat yogurt with ¼ cup dry whole grain cereal mixed in.
